Broken tooth root.?

So, I fell on my front teeth(-_-) and they got pushed inwards. I have braces so my ortho fixed that. But I took some x-rays and found out I have a broken root on my front teeth. What are the possible things doctors can do, besides pull it out?

Broken tooth root.?
a root canal and a crown.. no biggie! :)
Reply:maybe a root canal can be done... did your dentist not suggest treatment plans with you??

don%26#039;t worry, i%26#039;m sure it can be fixed and your will have a beautiful smile!!!!
Reply:It depends on the location of the fracture. If it is horizontal and near the tip of the root, it is likely it can be saved (though the tooth may need root canal treatment). If it%26#039;s vertical or oblique halfway down the root, the chances are poor of saving the tooth.

If it%26#039;s near the gumline there is a chance it can be saved, but in order to do this it may be necessary to expose the fractured edge surgically, and this can lead to a cosmetic problem as the gumlines of the two adjacent teeth won%26#039;t match. And between the root canal, gum surgery and crown it%26#039;s probably not worth it. Much better to consider an implant if at all possible.

Reply:If the root is fractured, I don%26#039;t think there is much to do besides pull out the tooth. A good replacement for that would be an implant. Basically a metal root surgically placed in your gums, and than a crown placed after wards. Good option that will last a long long time.

  1. Many people have such issues with teeth and teeth damage has a bad impact on our looks. I also lost one of teeth in an accident but I got dental implant surgery from a professional Torrance dentist. I was highly satisfied with his painless work.
